Privacy Policy

Vision Search ("the App") is developed and published by IAM_DEV. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.

1. What We Collect

Vision Search does not collect any personal data. We never receive your media, your search queries, your results, your file names or folder paths, or your name or email address.

Mac version: each time the App starts, it sends one anonymous check-in to our server so we can count active installs. It contains only a random identifier generated by the App, the App version and build number, the macOS version, the Mac model, and your language, region and time zone. The identifier is not linked to your Apple ID or to any other information about you. The check-in is sent encrypted, and if it fails the App keeps working normally.

Windows version: the App sends no usage information at all. Purchases and updates are handled by the Microsoft Store.

2. Local Processing Only

All media files (videos and images) you add to Vision Search are processed exclusively on your computer. No media content, file metadata, search queries, or results are ever sent to any server or third party.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores its search index and preview thumbnails on your computer. On Mac this is inside the App's own sandboxed container, and deleting the App removes it. On Windows it is the .vision-search folder in your user folder, which you may delete at any time. Your original files are never copied, moved or modified, and this index never leaves your device.

4. No Analytics or Tracking

Apart from the anonymous launch check-in on Mac described in section 1, Vision Search does not include any analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking software, and does not track what you do inside the App.

5. No Account Required

Vision Search does not require you to create an account or sign in. No email address or personal information is ever requested.

6. Third-Party Services

The App does not send your data to any third-party services, APIs, or cloud platforms. All AI models run locally on your device. The Mac launch check-in goes only to our own server.

7. Children's Privacy

Vision Search does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The App does not collect any personal data from any user.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
